Steenbergen, Warner race to PDTR main event victories

(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 28, 2025 – After seeking it for seven years, Brandon Berth of Cascade finally made his maiden visit to victory lane at The Plymouth Dirt Track in MMW Industrial Supply Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car A-main competition at The Plymouth Dirt Track at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis. on Saturday, June 28.

After starting on the outside of the front row, Berth outpowered polesitter Shane Wenninger of Kewaskum, who was in Chris Larson’s No 51 car, to gain the lead on the drop of the green flag in the 25-lap 360 Sprint Car main event.

Two-time and defending MSA 360 Sprint Car champion Ben Schmidt of Plymouth quickly maneuvered his way into second from the fourth starting spot on the second go-around.

On lap five, Berth caught up to the tail of the field and began the process of slicing his way through slower traffic. The lone caution of the race appeared on lap 8.

When the race returned to green flag action, Berth again cruised away from Schmidt and worked lapped traffic to his advantage down the stretch on the way to his first 360 Sprint Car triumph at The Plymouth Dirt Track, second MSA main event victory of the 2025 campaign and seventh career MSA A-main win.

Schmidt finished second, Wenninger wound up third, sixth starter Clayton Rossmann of Wadsworth, Ill. placed fourth and Bill Taylor of Boltonville placed fifth after starting third.

"Ever since we moved to the 360 Sprint Car division full-time in 2019, we've been trying hard to win a main event at Plymouth," Berth said. "I've won six MSA races at other tracks, but it's really special to win one at Plymouth. It feels great to finally get it done."

Alex Pokorski claimed fast qualifier honors in the MSA 360 Sprint Car division with a lap of 12.678 seconds.

The ninth event of the 2025 MSA campaign, sponsored by Pedal Down Promotions, drew 24 MSA 360 Sprint Cars.

The MSA is now set to travel to Eagle River Speedway on Saturday, July 5 for the series' third appearance at the third-mile D-shaped clay oval in Eagle River, Wis.

Spectator gates open at 4:30 p.m. with racing slated to begin at 6 p.m.
